So many, so many of your people are waiting for you. It’s like you have a group of people staring at stagnant water, praying and believing it’ll move. They are desperate for it to move, for the water has been still for so long it’s become moldy, bacteria has crept its way in. No matter what the group does, nothing can clean the water or make it move.
Your children feel like they’re going crazy staring at the water, begging it to move, praying for it to move, believing you’re going to step in to stir it, clean it out and restore what was once there.
We watch, and we wait. We wait. We wait. We wait and wait and wait but you don’t come. Every morning we tell ourselves that this day will be the day the water will move, when our God, our Father, will step in, but every night we go to bed discouraged and doing everything we can to encourage ourselves that tomorrow, not today, will be the day. Your people have done all they can, but the water still isn’t stirring.

God took me and covered me with his feathers, encapsulated me under his wings. He protected me as the winds rushed by, the rain poured down, the thunder shook the ground and the lightening lit the skies. He guarded me until the clouds started to part and the sun began to arise.
He told me it was time to come out, to stretch my legs and strengthen my spirit. He took my hand and pulled me up as the sun peaked over the mountain and poured rays of light upon us both. He smiled at me, encoring me to come out of my hiding place and trust His guiding steps, listen to His calming voice. Continue reading “God Took Me”
He pulled the mountain out of the dirt to stand before Him, tall and towering. He poured the oceans into the deep to roll in front of Him, loud and soothing. He taught the birds how to fly, to hum praises unto His Holy name. He orchestrated the singing of the trees and choreographed their sway. He spoke to the blossoms, encouraging them to come out of hiding and show the world their beauty. He made the Sun to shine upon His creation and the moon to glow upon the same. He spoke life into dead places and poured love into loveless depths. He made man His friend, the friend of a God, the God. He made women His children, children of a King, the King. He adopted them into His bloodline, sacrificing His one and only in order to make the adoption legal and everlasting. Continue reading “Always Has, Always Will”
“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” -Micah 7:8
When I fall, I will rise, over, and over, and over again. For, there will be times when I fall, when I feel weak and unable. There will be days when the sun rises and I may be unsure if I can do the same. There will be situations that weigh upon me, that push me down and make me doubt. There will be, for there always has been: but, when I fall, I will always rise. Continue reading “I Shall Arise”
We live in a dark and dreary world, a world that is unkind and uncaring. To beat the world, we must be strong, we must be kind, we must be loving, but we also must be consistent. Consistent with our aggression towards the enemy, consistent in this fight, consistent with continually moving forward, consistent in our belief in the infallible Word and our love for the Lord. We do not have time to mourn, we must keep going. We do not have time for self-pity, we must carry on.
There will come a day when we are allowed to mourn, cry, pout, complain, but it is not this day. This is the day when we fight, war, allow our battle cries to be heard in the North, South, East and the West. Continue reading “Heed The Call”
Give me this mountain, Lord. I am ready to take it.
I am not too young, too old, too feminine, too sensitive, too anything. I am exactly as I need to be to be used by you. I am, in this moment, on this day, ready to be sent into battle. Continue reading “Give Me This Mountain”
I am in the stillness, the silence that sometimes seems to consume you. You fear I am far away, that I am nowhere to be found, but I am always able to be found by my people.
Though the sound of nothingness seems to encapsulate you, know that I am here, watching over you, guiding you and protecting you. Know that I am never far, always within reach. The enemy will try to lie to you, to whisper to you in the silence that I do not care, that I do not listen or that I am unobtainable; those are all lies, do not pay heed to his voice.
Press into the silence, the stillness, for soon my still small voice will be heard, drifting by you like a passing breeze. Continue reading “In The Silence”
