How Abundant Are The Good Things

There are times when we feel small, inadequate, unable, vulnerable, lonely and little. When it seems like the world keeps winning and we keep losing, like bad conquers good and our prayers are unheard. There are times, sometimes often and sometimes far between, when we just don’t know if we are doing anything right, or if every single thing we are doing is wrong. There are times when we doubt our ability to hear the Lord, see Him, feel His presence or even wonder if we are worthy of standing before Him. There may even be times when we doubt God all together, doubt His very existence and wonder if He is good.

Every Christian walks through difficulties, trials, tribulations and attacks. We all have moments of looking to the heavens and wondering if anyone is there looking back at us, listening to us, caring for us. No human is perfect, we all have moments of weakness and doubt, moments of hurting and confusion.

So, what do we do when the breakthrough just isn’t coming or the dam releasing? When we can’t hear the abundance of rain or see the healing clouds coming our way? In all honesty, there is only one thing we can do:

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” -Ephesians 6:13.

I don’t know how long you will be standing, battling, praying, believing, fasting, decreeing or declaring. The only thing I do know is that you, we, simply can’t give up. There is no “Option #2” or “Plan B”.

Either you believe God will come through for you, or He won’t.

Either you believe that your prayers are being heard and will be answered, or you don’t.

Either you believe that the Word is true and unfailing, or it isn’t.

Either you keep standing, keep pressing forward, or you give up.

There is no middle ground, no gray area. Our relationship with God is black or white, right or left, before or behind.

So, you are in the middle of a battle, what do you do? You keep standing, keep praying and keep believing, because your breakthrough will occur if you just keep going.

If you have nothing else to hold on to, cling to this truth: God is good and His Word is true.

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.” -Psalm 31:19 (NIV)

I am a woman standing on the Word, believing in its infallibility and knowing I am all that God says I am.
