There Will Come A Day

I rid myself of all but you.

You are the only thing that can sustain me in this time of desperation and deep need.

I need you to flow through me, consume every bit of me and continually be with me.

I need to be filled from the bottom to the brim with you and you alone.

As the world turns from you I want to continually turn towards you, wherever you may be leading me.

I don’t care how unpopular it may be, I will always choose you. I don’t care how much the world belittles me, I will always choose you.

You are sunshine in the midst of the clouds

You are water in the midst of the drought

You are food in the midst of the famine

You are warmth in the midst of the blizzard

You are calm in the midst of the storm

You are everything and you are everywhere.

I am nothing without you, but I am everything with you at my side.

I am small and weak when I am alone, but when you are within me I can defeat every giant, crumble every mountain, cross every ocean and destroy every demonic attack.

My voice cannot me heard due to the wind ripping it away and taking it from the ears of those who need to hear it, but when you rise up within me, my roar will be heard throughout the land.

I may not see it yet, I may not feel it yet, I may not even sense it yet, but I know you are moving in a mighty way and there will come a day when it all makes sense.

“[God] took [Abraham] outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.” Then He said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” -Genesis 15:5 (NIV)
