America Is Still Standing

Although she may be scarred, wounded, bleeding and abused, America is still standing.

Although others have mocked, belittled, harmed and hurt her, America is still standing.

Though the enemy has attempted to tear her down time and time again, America is still standing.

Though her friends have turned their backs on her, have placed knives within her when she was not looking, America is still standing.

America, whom I love, cannot fall when the winds press against her.

America, who I call home, will not bend when the lies try to break her.

America, my country, shall not stop despite the constant assaults against her.

For, America fights for the good and defeats the bad.

America defends the innocent and vanquishes the guilty.

America bows in reverence to her King and crushes the head of the enemy.  

America bends the knee to His will and stands while others fall.

America is a constant in a world filled with inconstancy.

America, though imperfect, strives for perfection.

So, on America’s birthday, I celebrate this day for all she has been, all she is and all she will become.

For, my America is God’s America and she is filled with Americans standing on His word who will never bend, never break and never be defeated.

May God continually bless the land of the free because it is home of the brave.

May my America forever be God’s America.

May my America, despite it all, always remain standing.
