While talking with a friend this morning about faith, words came out of my mouth I had never thought before:
“Faith is like giving birth.”
Even while the words left my lips I thought, “what the heck does that even mean?” God, fortunately, gave me clarity.
Most women, including myself, get to a point in the delivery room when they think, or say out loud in my case, I just can’t do this anymore!
What’s comical about that statement is that there is literally no other option but to keep at it, keep breathing, keep pushing, because that baby is only coming out IF WE KEEP GOING.
Faith is a lot like that.
We all face difficulties, frustrations, battles, and often get to a point where we just don’t think we can continue moving forward. We want to give up, lay down, stop fighting, but the only way we will get to our victory is IF WE KEEP GOING.
The beautiful part about this analogy is that when we keep going, in faith and in delivery, we always end up with the most beautiful blessing.
God continuously has a gift, a miracle, waiting on the other side of our struggle.
When we refuse to stop pushing, fighting, standing, we eventually end up holding an answered prayer in our hands.
So, whoever you are, the one that is struggling to stand, to fight, to breathe, don’t give up, keep going, keep standing, keep breathing and keep pushing forward.
Soon a gift will be handed to you and in your arms will be the miracle you have been waiting for.
“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy.”
-Psalm 16:11
