Lord, let your cloak of confidence envelop us. Allow your power and ability to take the place of the heaviness of vulnerability and fear. We need you to fill us up, overtake us, push us out and take us over. We must decrease for you to increase, So, decrease us, Lord, push us out until all that is left in each of us is you.
We can’t do this, whatever it is you desire for us to do, but we know you can do it. So, God, wipe us out and build us up again, but, this time we will be built upon the firm foundation of the truth of the Word instead of the lies of the world.
Lord, with you we are able, capable, bold, strong, mighty, beautiful, lovely, patient, kind, good. God, we need you to keep us good. Place blinders upon our eyes so all we see is your path. Place your hands upon our ears so all we hear is your voice. Protect our hearts so all we desire is what you desire for us. Guide our souls so we never take a step off the path you have set before us.
I know you are sending us into the darkness, but that is the sacrifice we will make in order to advance your Kingdom, to help the lost and heal the wounded. You told us long ago that we would be sent into dark places, for you said you would be the lamp unto our feet and the light unto our paths. We don’t always want to go, Lord, but it is not about what we want and all about what you want for us. For, your plans are so much greater and your ways so vastly higher.
Lord, take this Remnant and elevate them, lift them up, set them upon a firm foundation. Speak through their lips, use their voice to proclaim your truth. Pour out upon them so they can pour out upon others. Use them as your vessels. Do good through them. Keep them humble, kind, strong, confident, good, sure, bold.
Keep them bold, Lord. Bold like a lion roaring, a bear charging, an eagle soaring, a warrior fighting, a woman standing.
One by one we will be sent out. We will be the candle in the mist and the flicker in the shadow. We will be your hands, your feet, your love, your heart. We will go where you tell us to go, do what you tell us to do and be all you tell us to become.
It is time to take back what the devil has stolen. Our lives are not our own, they are yours, use them to do your will. Use these individuals to bring light to dark places.
Lord, you have a Remnant of people willing to go. We step forward and lift our hands.
Send us, Lord, send us.
