Desire For My Daughter

Today, on my birthday, I was told “God’s greatest gift lives within you”. I am currently pregnant with my first child, a baby girl. Although there are many years between us, there are so many things I would like her to know, to experience, to run with through life. So, below are the desires I have for my daughter:

Know you are loved. Not only by your father and me, but by the Creator of the Universe. You were placed on this earth for a purpose, a destiny, a Heavenly call. You are known by the One who spoke the world into existence, who told the mountains to rise, the valleys to go deep, the oceans to wave, the trees to sway, and the sun the shine. Your name is always on His mind.

Know you are worthy. The world may tell you you aren’t “enough”; pretty enough, smart enough, talented enough, but your Father believed you were more than enough for Him to give His most precious gift. He gave it all for you, He sacrificed His heart so you could spend eternity with Him. So, no matter what the world may tell you, know you, simply you, were worth the Son sacrificing Himself so you may live.

It Is Finished

[Repost]

The weight of the Lord’s sacrifice does not escape me. I feel it now as I
sit here. He gave everything for us, for me, people He did not yet know but
already loved, loved enough to hand over the most important thing in not only
the world, but in all the universes and all the worlds, in all the ages and all
the eras.

When Adam and Eve fell, God watched the fall from Heaven, His heart falling
alongside them. How could they do it, He probably wondered. I
created them to be above all, yet they desired to be beneath. They want the
world more than they want me
. In a moment, He made a plan, for there only
was one way to get humanity out of the problem they created for themselves.

Revival?

As someone who would consider themselves a “Charismatic” Christian, I have always had an image of what I thought revival would resemble. In my mind, revival would, of course, include people coming to know the love of the Father and hundreds, thousands, millions, giving their lives to the Lord, but I also always assumed it would include what Charismatics like myself are used to: prophetic words being spoken, supernatural healings taking place, people falling under the weight of the Holy Spirit, new tongues flowing forth…

But, as I watched the Live Steam of the Asbury University Worship this morning, which has been going nonstop for nearly two weeks, a new reality of what revival would look like hit me. Perhaps, revival is simply placing God back in His rightful place as Lord and worshiping Him as our Father, Guide, Guard, Provider and God.

Where Are The Parents?

A friend of mine, Sarah, a mental health therapist, told me the tragic story of a former client of hers committing suicide last night. The young girl was 14 years old. Sarah is an incredible counselor who has been called to specifically work with middle school aged children. She has seen firsthand the demonic oppression and spiritual attacks bombarding our youth, resulting in an uptick in mental health issues like we have never seen.

Sarah told me there is not a SINGLE child in her caseload who does not struggle with suicidal ideation or gender identity issues. Sarah described the “suicide packs” that many children are in, this young girl being one of them. These packs are filled with children who are obsessed with death. They enjoy talking about death, fantasizing about the “afterlife”, watch shows that promote death and take a blood oath that if one person in the pack commits suicide, they all must commit suicide. Unfortunately, and shockingly, these packs are far more popular and commonplace than any of us would want to admit.

Enmity Between Thee

Yesterday, I read a story, which had an accompanying video, of a young female volleyball player who was seriously injured by a male transgender competitor during a volleyball match. The girl suffered, “severe head and neck injuries, resulting in long-term concussion symptoms, including vision problems.” This story hit home seeing as volleyball was a major part of my life for over a decade.

Volleyball, like sports for many people, was everything to me at one point in time. I lived, breathed, dreamed the sport, resulting in a full-ride Division I college scholarship. Post-college, I coached for a Division III University while achieving my master’s degree. To say volleyball was a big part of my life would be an understatement. The sport was a major aspect of my very identity for years.

I once wrote a post about not giving the devil one inch in your life, because when we give the enemy an inch he is never satisfied, he wants more, and more, and more until he controls every aspect of our lives. I believe this is exactly what we are seeing in regards to the devil consistently, and successfully, attacking women.

Identity Crisis

This morning, while listening to a short speech by Italy’s new PM, I realized satan’s recent strategy and all the current madness going on around us can be broken down into one very simple explanation: identity crisis.

What we are witnessing is a full-blown attack on our identities. It is now normalized to question our gender, our ethnicity, our sexual orientation. It’s gotten so bad that children are no longer seeing themselves as human but are now referring to themselves as “furries”, so even our species is in question. We belittle who we are, who were made to be, and accept a new identity based of what those in positions of power tell us to become.

What is now so evident is that this push to question who and what we are is 100% from the enemy.

Spiritual Aspect Of “They/Them

Firstly, God made us to be unique. He knows each of us personally, which is what makes our relationship with Him so beautiful. We are special in His eyes because we are each an important and precious individual.

Secondly, there are only two genders, male or female, she/her, him/his (Matt. 19:4). Anyone who proclaims otherwise has drank a big glass of confusion and manipulation which will ultimately lead to deterioration of one’s life. God is not the author of confusion, so it’s clear He is not the one behind this gender manipulation mess we see taking over our society, infiltrating our schools and perplexing our children.

So, let’s get into the spiritual aspect of the “they/them” conversation.

Part Of The Two

Last Sunday, I heard a sermon discussing the Twelve spies of Israel going into and returning from the promised land, Canaan. Ten came back with an “evil” report, two returned with a report of faith. In Numbers 13, Caleb stood up and told the crowd God said they could take the land promised them, but the Ten responded with fear, ridicule and faithlessness. Unfortunately, Israel believed the report of the scared and deceived and paid a heavy price because of it.

What we witness in this story are the perspectives of two differing mentalities: the mentality of Egypt and the mentality of Canaan. The Ten had the eyes of Egyptians, placing other idols above God and refusing to believe their Lord had given them the sworn victory. The eyes of the Two were those of the land of Canaan, seeing only the promises of God and paying no attention to the threats of man.

What we are observing today is a similar contradiction.

Unvaccinated

First off, I would like to say I do not discriminate against anyone who has received the COVID-19 vaccine. It is an individual choice and one that must be respected.

Now, that being said, I am getting pretty annoyed with the MSM, celebrities, politicians, Christians, and complete strangers telling me I’m selfish, horrifying, and, my personal favorite, ungodly for not getting it.

I shouldn’t have to defend my reasoning for not receiving the shot.

Society Of Me

On Monday, I was invited to a seminar focused on the disturbing world of sex trafficking. Individuals from primarily South American countries shared their knowledge of the industry and what their organizations are doing to put an end to it.

I listened to a woman discuss the emotional torment she endured due to trafficking and how she still sometimes finds herself depressed about what she went through, but then reminds herself she is fortunate to be part of the 2% of woman who are able to obtain freedom from it.

Someone else told us that 2019 was the most successful year for saving victims from sex trafficking, having rescued 118,000 individuals from traffickers. The number astounded me, until he said there is an estimate of 29.5 million victims in captivity to this industry.

We learned about the negative impact COVID lockdowns had on sex trafficking. That when the rest of the world shut down because of fear, perpetrators doubled down and took more victims than ever before. Hearings against offenders was down 50% in 2020, so as the numbers of victims grew, the numbers of those held accountable dropped rapidly.

About To Arise

No devil can stop us

No enemy can stand in our way

No weapon can penetrate the armor God has placed upon us

We have been called forth for such a time as this

This day and this season belong to us, belongs to the Remnant

Though the devil may have had a win during the night, our victory is arising with sun

Still Sent The Fire

“Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations; Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.”

-Nehemiah 9:18-19

While reading this verse, a shock wave seemed to go through me. There is nothing we can do to make God stop perusing us.

The Lord did amazing things for Israel when He delivered them from Egypt. He tried, over and over, to prove His undying love for them. He saved them from slavery, fed them, nurtured them, clothed them, led them through the desert. The pillar of fire at night and cloud by day was, consistently, a physical manifestation of His allegiance to them. He gave them everything He had and did all He could to prove to them He was all they would ever need in order to fulfill their destiny, dreams and desires.

Yet, they denied Him, turned their backs on Him, betrayed Him. They bowed to false idols, claiming other gods as their savior, gave in to every lustful and sinful thought that crossed their minds and permitted themselves to forget, so quickly, all God had done for them.

But, even when they worshipped something other than Him, even when they turned to sin and sickness to fulfill them, even when they allowed satan to take over their camp, God still sent the fire by day and the cloud by night to guide them.

Like The Lion

“An army of sheep led by a lion will always defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.” -Dr. Myles Monroe

The Lord refers to Himself as two animals within the Word, the Eagle, king of the air, and the Lion, king of the land. Since God is within us, we can view ourselves as both.

I once saw a video of a lion and a crocodile having a standoff. The crocodile was threatening to come out of the water and steal the lion’s food, the lion stood his ground and roared. This went back and forth for several minutes before the crocodile eventually slunk back into the water and disappeared.

What is most interesting about this interaction is that a lion’s bite is 600 pound-force per square inch (PSI), a crocodile’s bite is 5,000 PSI. In reality, the crocodile could have destroyed the lion, but that didn’t matter to the lion, the lion knew who he was and what he was capable of, the crocodile did not.

Several years ago, the Lord ended a Word to me with, “Like the lion, let your roar be heard throughout the land”. This started my captivation for these big cats. What I find fascinating is that I am not alone in my captivation. Over the past year, I have seen many preachers, speakers and bloggers, primarily female, use the lion as a symbol they discuss throughout their speeches, posts or testimonies.

I believe God is trying to tell us something.

Get Thee Up

It’s been several weeks since I’ve written anything, but this morning I felt inspired to finally pull out my laptop and write what God has placed on my heart.

While praying for the Remnant I saw a camp with soldiers resting throughout. Some were sitting up, others were laying down, but it was clear everyone within the camp was recovering from an exhausting battle.

I then saw a Captain begin to walk throughout the camp and tell the soldiers that the time of recuperation was about to end and they were going to be sent back into the fight, for the battle was still raging not far away.

I then thought of Joshua. Right in the beginning of the book God tells Joshua,

“My servant Moses is dead; now, therefore, arise.” -Joshua 1:2

God Of Miracles

Two days ago, I witnessed a miracle.

A family member was taken to the hospital. The initial report was not good, in fact, it was dire. My typical reaction to any type of extreme news, good or bad, is to go to the Lord, but as I sat in my apartment, worship music playing in the background, I found I couldn’t find any words to speak to Him.

My heart was heavy, my mind a jumble. My phone rang with people checking in, but I couldn’t talk because to talk would lead to tears and I didn’t want to risk falling apart.
