Free

True freedom comes from a relationship with the Lord. The only real, legitimate liberty is found when we hand over all of ourselves to take on all of Him. With Jesus comes independence from addiction, depression, loneliness, instability, uncertainty, impurity, infirmity. The Lord is the only way to live a life that is worth living, a life that is completely fulfilling and permeating with power and authority.

Now, that being said, I thank God I was born in the land of the free.

I thank God my forefathers were men who put His name above all names. No, they were not perfect, but they desired a country where the people were not ruled by man but by God and had the freedom to praise Him as they saw fit.

I thank God I live in a county that praises God. Yes, I sometimes feel as if our perspective is fading, but the Remnant remains strong, keeping the Lord at the center of our hearts and in the bloodstream that flows throughout this glorious land

I thank God for the men and women who sacrifice for this country to keep this country great, strong, mighty, brave, free.

I thank God that I get to serve God, I get to wake up every morning and proclaim Him as my King and Savior, my Lord and Father.

I thank God pastors are allowed to preach from pulpits with no fear of government intervention.

I thank God I live in a country that allows me to celebrate my relationship with my Jesus, sing His Holy name amongst brothers and sisters with no penalty or dismissal.

I thank God I live in a country that desires to help and heal other countries, even when that helping comes at a sacrifice.

I thank God for the people who serve this great nation, who go to work every day desiring to keep America good and pure.

I thank God for our independence, that on this day over 200 years ago we broke away from the traditional and declared ourselves free.

I thank God for my President, for the man who takes a beating every single day yet continues to stand. No, he is not flawless, but his love for my country and his desire to make America great makes me proud to fight alongside him.

I thank God for the United States of America because she is truly an incredible country. In recent years she has taken a beating for being unashamed of her nationalism but why should she be ashamed when her God is a nationalist? God placed Israel above all other tribes and people, proclaiming them the greatest of all, so why should this country, these people, be afraid to proclaim this land great when God was the one who made her great?

On this July 4th I have so very much to be thankful for but more than anything else I am thankful for my God and my country, this beautiful land of the free because it is home to the brave.

May God continually bless the United States of America.
