There are times in my life when I push against the Lord, when I become so frustrated with what is going on around me that I forget the power that is within me. I allow the world to quiet God’s voice and cloud my vision from seeing the Truth.
He has never failed me, yet sometimes I find myself still wondering if whatever current battle I’m in is the one I will lose, the time when my God just doesn’t step in.
This thought process does nothing but harm me and hinder me from doing what I am called to do. If He has never failed me, why would He start now?
He needs me, us, to succeed because through our success He shines all the brighter. When we flourish, He flourishes. When we prosper, He prospers. When we love, He is allowed to love.
So, when I find myself in the darkness, I will believe my God will shine.
When I’m in the middle of a storm, I will believe my Jesus will reach out His hand.
When the rain pours and the thunder rumbles, I will believe the Word will flow around me.
When the wind beats against me and the snow tries to freeze me, I will believe the Spirit will warm me.
My God is my ever-present help in my time of need.
He has never failed me for He does not know how to fail.
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19
