Peace Be Still

Peace Be Still

Those are the words ringing in my ears.

As the waves crash around us, our Lord says Be Still

As the wind howls against us, our Lord says Be Still

As the rain beats upon us, our Lord says Be Still

Our Lord says ask and it shall be given to you (Mat 7:7). So, Lord, I ask for wisdom, guidance, protection and direction in this time of uneasiness and uncertainty.

I ask for peace to lay upon your people like a blanket, peace that protects them against the storm.

I ask for hope to swell up within your Remnant, hope we pour out to those around us.

I ask for joy to drift among your children, joy that leads others to salvation.

I ask for stillness to settle amidst your sheep, a still that accompanies the knowledge of knowing we have a good Shephard.

Lord, you say we have not because we ask not (James 2:4), well, God, here is your daughter, asking for this with all her heart, believing she will see the fruit of this labor, knowing her God hears every word that leaves her mouth.

I believe we are in a time of great harvest, of many people running to the Lord.

I believe that what we ask, we will receive if we doubt not.

I believe our prayers have power and will make an impact.

I believe this time of uncertainly, confusion and fogginess will somehow, someway, place the Remnant on a path of true victory, direction and breakthrough.

I do believe that the Lord is in the center of us, greeter than He has ever been, for His people are crying to Him like the Israelites in Egypt.

I believe all of this because when the Lord’s people cry out to Him in the midst of a storm, He hears, He answers and He declares, “Peace, be still.”

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” -Mark 4:39
