“Woke”

I have become increasingly annoyed with the demonic “woke” agenda being forced into our schools, malls, grocery stores, and every day lives.

While googling an article for work, I saw today’s Google image of a woman holding the LGBTQI flag with a female couple holding one another in the background. God made man to be with woman and woman to be with man. That being said, I don’t believe I have a right to make anyone believe anything, yet the public need to promote and force ani-Christian ideologies has become aggressively normalized in today’s society and is, frankly, disturbing.

Shockingly, the ridiculous Google image wasn’t even close to the most obnoxious or disappointing thing I saw today.

But God: Re-post

This morning, while praying for the impossible to become possible, the words, “but God” came to mind.

Not two minutes ago, a friend text a prayer group and ended her message with, “but God!”

I vaguely remembered writing a post not long ago, of course, named But God.

After reading it, I felt encouraged and hopeful that although the waters are rising, the waves crashing, the lightning striking and the thunder rolling, and although the impossible seems to only be becoming more impossible, I have one clear thought piercing through the darkness…BUT GOD.

There Is Freedom

This time of quarantine has been difficult. I don’t believe there is a person in the world unimpacted by what is happening around the globe right now. Although it seems as if our world has been flipped upside down and our norms are now abnormal, I believe the greatest difficulty many are struggling with is the heaviness that accompanies depression.

The spirit of despair is wreaking havoc on our population. Men, women and children all around the globe are struggling with thoughts of uncertainty, pointlessness, sadness and, worst of all, suicide.

This spirit is a heavy and aggressive one. It creeps into your mind like a silent predator and over time becomes bigger and bigger, often getting to a point where the spirit is greater than the circumstance. Things that once seemed small become monsters in our minds. Issues that were manageable become uncontrollable and daily matters that accompany life are suddenly too heavy to carry.

Peace Be Still

Peace Be Still

Those are the words ringing in my ears.

As the waves crash around us, our Lord says Be Still

As the wind howls against us, our Lord says Be Still

As the rain beats upon us, our Lord says Be Still

My God

There are times in life when it seems as if the world is standing still and I’m no longer moving forward, as if everyone around me is living and I’m just existing, when every desire seems to remain unfulfilled and my prayers are going unheard.

In those moment, I must remind myself who my God is.

My God is the creator of the universe. He spoke the world into existence. He taught the sun how to shine, the wind how to sing and the trees how to dance.

My God formed man out of His own image because He believed man was worthy of being like Him, looking like Him, talking like Him, walking as He does and interacting as only His image could.

My God sees all things; therefore, He is never worried about the outcome because He knows how to get me to victory.

Victorious

I pray for God to place me on a path that cannot be stopped, slowed or hindered in any way by the enemy. I pray I am one with Him, that when He speaks, I react, without hesitation or thought.

I pray I am so in love with the Lord that to live a single moment without Him is simply unfathomable, to wake up and not speak to Him is unheard of and to not dwell in His presence every single day is unacceptable.

Big Empty Room

When I think of where I was not long ago, I’m amazed. My heart was broken, my spirit in torment and my mind a jumbled mess. I was trying to find the right way to go but I wasn’t using the only light provided to me in order to find the next step. I was trying to hear God’s voice but couldn’t above the yelling of the chaos around me. I wanted to please the Lord but was battling with wanting to please the world as well.

I allowed my heart to be turned from my King, which was one of the greatest mistakes I have ever made. It led me down a dark path, a path leading to nowhere but confusion, torment and hurt. I was lost and knew it but didn’t know how to get back. The moment I took my eyes off Jesus I became entangled in a web of lies. Continue reading “Big Empty Room”

Great Expectation

Shouldn’t we live in a state of continuous expectancy?

When we pray, shouldn’t we expect our words to be heard? If our Father’s ears prick at the sound of our voices, then He begins to put a plan into place the second we ask for and believe in a miracle. (Matthew 21:22) Continue reading “Great Expectation”

Greater Is He

“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” -1 John 4:4

There is nothing too great for you, for inside of you is something so vast, so wonderful, the very earth itself worships at His feet. In you is power so overwhelming the very winds become still for Him. Around you is something so large the very mountains bow before Him. Continue reading “Greater Is He”

Trust

I will trust you, always.

I will trust you to do what you say you will do, regardless of what I see around me.

I will trust you to surround me with your favor, regardless of the storm I feel raging to my right and left.

I will trust you to speak to me, no matter how the silence presses in upon me.

I will trust you to fill me with your Word, regardless of how my stomach may be growling. Continue reading “Trust”

Wild To The World

We are meant to be wild to the world, untamed and untouched by its greedy fingers.

We are meant to run free, with only the wind as our companion: no saddle, no stirrups, no whip.

We are meant to find joy in the independence of our run, the solitude of our time with the Sun, stars, trees and breeze.

There should be nothing in the world keeping us captive, tempting us to walk into submission to anything other than our Creator.
