So many, so many of your people are waiting for you. It’s like you have a group of people staring at stagnant water, praying and believing it’ll move. They are desperate for it to move, for the water has been still for so long it’s become moldy, bacteria has crept its way in. No matter what the group does, nothing can clean the water or make it move.
Your children feel like they’re going crazy staring at the water, begging it to move, praying for it to move, believing you’re going to step in to stir it, clean it out and restore what was once there.
We watch, and we wait. We wait. We wait. We wait and wait and wait but you don’t come. Every morning we tell ourselves that this day will be the day the water will move, when our God, our Father, will step in, but every night we go to bed discouraged and doing everything we can to encourage ourselves that tomorrow, not today, will be the day. Your people have done all they can, but the water still isn’t stirring.
Lord, we feel ourselves growing older, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. Your people are wearing away as if age is creeping in, taking hold with unkind fingers. The skin on our faces seems to sag with sadness, weighed down by daily disappointment.
God, we just don’t know what else to do, we just don’t know what we’ve done wrong.
You are GOD, you can do anything, but you aren’t, and we don’t understand why.
What do you expect of us?
FAITH.
Faith that what You say is true.
Faith that You will do what You promise.
Faith that You are our Father, and a good Father takes care of His children.
Faith that this path, this desert, has not been walked in vain.
Faith that a miracle is around the next corner, over the next ridge and on the other side of the very next door.
Faith that You have a plan for us, a plan so great it is beyond our capability to comprehend.
Faith that every Word spoken to us by You is a promise from God, and our Father does not break promises.
Faith that we are exactly where we are meant to be and that we were born for such a time as this.
Faith that we are in the middle of a war, a war that You have already equipped us for.
Faith that we are overcomers and that there is nothing the devil can do to defeat us.
Faith that you are working, right now, on our behalf, aligning our paths.
Faith that we will get beyond this difficulty and rejoice in our day of triumph.
Faith that our day of triumph is TODAY.
Doubt can go to hell, fear can go there too. We are children of the Most High God. When a child of God calls upon Him, He answers, every time.
So, Father God, we are calling out to you to release us from these bonds, this room we just can’t seem to exit. Move in the midst of the stillness and pour in fresh water. Open the door that we can’t, that no man can, swing it wide and run with us out of here. Stay by our side as we go into darkness, be the light shining around us piercing the night like a sword of fire.
We are yours and this life belongs to you.
Do not allow this life to go to waste, for it is yours, and yours alone.
“Fear can go to hell, shame can go there too. I know whose I am. God, I belong to you.”
