God, we are waiting. For what, we do not know, but I know there are many waiting on you to move.
We are aligning ourselves with your Word, turning from the world to fix our eyes on Jesus. We are closing our ears to the lies told to us by those around us and opening them to words spoken by men and women who relentlessly pursue you. We are removing old garments, replacing them with pieces of your armor.
One by one we are stepping forward, outstretching our hands for you to place your sword in one and your shield in the other. We bend our heads for you to place your helmet upon us. When we look up, into your eyes, we know you have a plan, a destiny, a call to order for your people. We watch as you move down the line, nodding your head with approval to each of us before moving to the next warrior.
Lord, your people have aligned, shoulder to shoulder we stand ready for your command. I look to my left and see my sister and brother, to my right and see my father and mother. We are here, Lord, your people, your family, your children. We don’t understand why you have called us to the aligning, but we know you called.
We stand here, at the brink of something big, but what it is we do not know. We sense it, Lord, know there is a battle at hand. Will you have us advance? Will you have us stand? Will you have us run? Will you have us take ground or protect the ground we are already on? What you have brought us here to do is unknown, but we are here. We have come, from the north, south, east and west, we have come, Lord. For you, we have come.
Destiny is said to be the loudest silence we will ever hear (Dr. Myles Munroe). Well, God, destiny has called, and we have answered. Let your command be given. Your people, your army, are ready to run, jump, leap, shout, scream, fight, battle, bind, rebuke, take, help, heal. Your people have aligned, we are ready, make the call. Destiny is at hand.
“Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I AM STRONG.” – Joel 3:9-10
