You Are Still God

Although the world seems to be filled with the unknown and the necessity to continually pray for one person or another then for myself, I know that regardless of the situation, you are still God.

You are still the God who spoke the world into existence, who breathed life into man then allowed man to reign.

You are still the God who parted the Red Sea, who made the wet ground dry and led the way through the waters.

You are still the God who tamed the lions, who sat with Daniel through the night.

You are still the God who softened the heart of a king, who walked with Esther into the throne room.

You are still the God who saved the Israelites, who brought them out of the bonds of slavery and into the land of freedom.

You are still the God who pointed to the stars and told Abraham to believe.

You are still the God who sent your Spirit to reside among us, who gave us power, love and a sound mind.

You are still the God who walks with me through every day and stays beside me every night.

You are still the God who has answered every need, every desperate cry for help.

You are still the God who my heart cannot live without and who my soul longs to please.

You are still the God who saved me from sickness and surrounds me with safety.

You are still the God who loved me so much that you sent your only Son to die for me.

You are still the God who listens to my prayers and calms the fears that try to cripple me.

You are still the God who has my life laid out before you, even though I cannot see the path at times you are still the God who always makes a way.

You are still the God who stands beside me, holding me through the storms and leading me through the chaos.

You are still the God who loved humanity so much that you gave us a choice, and I choose to believe in you regardless of the situations I face.

I choose to stand by you at all times.

I choose to live my life for you and only you.

I choose to belong to you, to sell myself into slavery to your Word and your promise.

I choose to believe your Word above the situation, to place you higher than what the world says is reality.

I choose to cling to you with every bit of strength I have and refuse to let go no matter how hard the world may tug.

I choose you, God, because you are still the God who took a broken woman like me and made her beautiful.
