Great Expectation

Shouldn’t we live in a state of continuous expectancy?

When we pray, shouldn’t we expect our words to be heard? If our Father’s ears prick at the sound of our voices, then He begins to put a plan into place the second we ask for and believe in a miracle. (Matthew 21:22)

When we walk into a room, shouldn’t we expect to take dominion? If we are Ambassadors of Christ, then we have authority everywhere we go. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

When we look at our finances, shouldn’t we expect the numbers to continually increase? If we live a righteous life, then we will leave an inheritance to our children’s children. (Proverbs 13:22)

When we get a bad doctors report, shouldn’t we expect the ultimate physician to heal us? If we stand in faith, and doubt not even a little, then healing and long life belongs to us. (Exodus 15:26)

When the enemy comes, shouldn’t we expect his attack and be ready to defend what is ours? If the Word says the enemy is like a roaring lion, continually seeking whom he may devour, then we should be aggressively ready to stop him from taking what does not belong to him. (1 Peter 5:8)

When the world belittles us, shouldn’t we be unsurprised and unbothered? If Jesus told us the world hated Him, and we are living our lives after Him, then we too will be despised, belittled, mocked, and hated. (John 15:18)

When it seems as if things around us just keep getting darker, shouldn’t we expect the light to shine all the brighter? If God saved the Israelites from Pharaoh, the Jews from the King, Elijah from Jezebel, David from Saul, Jesus from Herod, then we know He will deliver us from whatever evil the enemy attempts to surround us with because darkness CANNOT overcome light. (John 1:5)

So, shouldn’t we live day to day with great anticipation, great excitement and great hope that our God is about to do something mighty?

Shouldn’t we wake up in the morning excited to see mountains about to fall, sickness about to be rebuked, walls about to be broken down, and prayers about to be answered?

Shouldn’t we live a life with joy incomparable because we have the key to joy, that we have a Father that simply cannot wait to bring blessings into our lives and align paths that lead to good and prosperous places?

If we are children of the Most High God, and we believe His Word to be true, then we should continuously, unceasingly and stubbornly have Great Expectation.
