“Woke”

I have become increasingly annoyed with the demonic “woke” agenda being forced into our schools, malls, grocery stores, and every day lives.

While googling an article for work, I saw today’s Google image of a woman holding the LGBTQI flag with a female couple holding one another in the background. God made man to be with woman and woman to be with man. That being said, I don’t believe I have a right to make anyone believe anything, yet the public need to promote and force ani-Christian ideologies has become aggressively normalized in today’s society and is, frankly, disturbing.

Shockingly, the ridiculous Google image wasn’t even close to the most obnoxious or disappointing thing I saw today.

Women Under Attack

As a former NCAA DI FEMALE College athlete, I am angered, disgusted and extremely disheartened at what occurred yesterday with former Kentucky swimmer and female activist Riley Gaines. Riley was attacked and assaulted by a man in a dress following her “Save Women’s Sports” speech, then bombarded by a mob screaming “trans women are women”. Police rushed Riley into a room, where she waited for hours while the angry mob discussed how much she would have to pay to be released.

The world has normalized mental health disorders to such an extent that the people in that mob truly believed Riley was an enemy that deserved to be destroyed.

So many thoughts rush through my mind when I think of Riley. I remember when I was battling for a college scholarship, playing against some of the greatest female athletes in the country. I remember how hard it was to stand out in a crowd of amazing women competitors, hoping, praying, college scouts would stop by our court to watch me play. But, I also remember watching the men compete and knowing there was no way any of our female teams, no matter how incredible, tall, strong, or tough we were, would be able to successfully challenge them. They were taller and stronger, they jumped higher, hit harder, and moved so much faster I remember telling a teammate “it doesn’t even look they are playing the same sport as the women”.

Enmity Between Thee

Yesterday, I read a story, which had an accompanying video, of a young female volleyball player who was seriously injured by a male transgender competitor during a volleyball match. The girl suffered, “severe head and neck injuries, resulting in long-term concussion symptoms, including vision problems.” This story hit home seeing as volleyball was a major part of my life for over a decade.

Volleyball, like sports for many people, was everything to me at one point in time. I lived, breathed, dreamed the sport, resulting in a full-ride Division I college scholarship. Post-college, I coached for a Division III University while achieving my master’s degree. To say volleyball was a big part of my life would be an understatement. The sport was a major aspect of my very identity for years.

I once wrote a post about not giving the devil one inch in your life, because when we give the enemy an inch he is never satisfied, he wants more, and more, and more until he controls every aspect of our lives. I believe this is exactly what we are seeing in regards to the devil consistently, and successfully, attacking women.

Identity Crisis

This morning, while listening to a short speech by Italy’s new PM, I realized satan’s recent strategy and all the current madness going on around us can be broken down into one very simple explanation: identity crisis.

What we are witnessing is a full-blown attack on our identities. It is now normalized to question our gender, our ethnicity, our sexual orientation. It’s gotten so bad that children are no longer seeing themselves as human but are now referring to themselves as “furries”, so even our species is in question. We belittle who we are, who were made to be, and accept a new identity based of what those in positions of power tell us to become.

What is now so evident is that this push to question who and what we are is 100% from the enemy.

Truth

It’s been over a year since I wrote anything. So much has happened since the last time I sat down to write in this blog, both in the world and in my own life.

Since my last post, I moved cross country for a job, got engaged, planned a wedding, moved back to DC, got married, started my own company, moved cross country (again), bought a house, and am just beginning to settle down a bit.

Sometimes, life seems to be passing at a pace I can hardly keep up with. My relationship with the Lord has often been put on the backburner throughout the past year. It seems there is just so much, too much, going on for me to know what to say to God when I sit down with Him in the morning.

My primary frustration and what has been increasingly bothering me is the spiritual attack on Truth.

Part Of The Two

Last Sunday, I heard a sermon discussing the Twelve spies of Israel going into and returning from the promised land, Canaan. Ten came back with an “evil” report, two returned with a report of faith. In Numbers 13, Caleb stood up and told the crowd God said they could take the land promised them, but the Ten responded with fear, ridicule and faithlessness. Unfortunately, Israel believed the report of the scared and deceived and paid a heavy price because of it.

What we witness in this story are the perspectives of two differing mentalities: the mentality of Egypt and the mentality of Canaan. The Ten had the eyes of Egyptians, placing other idols above God and refusing to believe their Lord had given them the sworn victory. The eyes of the Two were those of the land of Canaan, seeing only the promises of God and paying no attention to the threats of man.

What we are observing today is a similar contradiction.

Unvaccinated

First off, I would like to say I do not discriminate against anyone who has received the COVID-19 vaccine. It is an individual choice and one that must be respected.

Now, that being said, I am getting pretty annoyed with the MSM, celebrities, politicians, Christians, and complete strangers telling me I’m selfish, horrifying, and, my personal favorite, ungodly for not getting it.

I shouldn’t have to defend my reasoning for not receiving the shot.

The Upper Room

I believe we are in a collection process. What do I mean by this? I mean the Remnant is beginning to leave the building and is entering into the room.

I have never had so many people sending me verses, videos, prophetic words and prayer calls as I have in the past week. This election process has forced the Body to leave the church building and take “church” into their homes, offices, prayer closets, etc.

When I think of where the Remnant is now, I see the Upper Room written about in beginning of Acts. God needed the Remnant of old to separate themselves from the masses and wait in a secluded place for His presence to descend. We don’t know how long they waited but I would assume that within the waiting process they had to encourage one another, had to lift one another up and tell each other that it would be just a little while longer before they received what they were waiting for.

We are gathering into an “upper room” right now.

Why Are There So Many Dead Christians?

We are not called to think like everyone else, act like everyone else, be like everyone else or do what everyone else does. We are called, created, to be individuals standing on one truth-the Word of God.

So, why are so many adopting a “group think” mentality and attempting to look like the masses in order to be accepted by the world?

The Word says we are, “not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world”. The very next thing Jesus says is, “therefore the world hateth you” (John 15:19).

The world hates light because light shines upon what the darkness wants to hide, yet it seems as if the church is doing everything it can to make the world love it by hiding its light and aligning itself with the ways of the world.

Symbol Of Submission

To preface this post, I would like to say that anyone who does not believe the Word is a living document and just as powerful today as it was when Jesus and the apostles walked the earth, will not agree, or understand, what I have to say.

Last week, while putting a mask on for the first time since the coronavirus fiasco began, I felt my stomach drop. To fly you now must wear a face covering, but that didn’t change my feelings of defeat when I positioned the mask over my mouth before boarding the plane.

When I placed the mask upon my face, I felt small, belittled, obedient to something other than my King.

God created me, us, to speak, to sing, to pray, so to mute and muddle that ability seems wrong, almost sinful.

Heavy Humbling

I believe it takes a very specific individual who can handle promotion and elevation. I, personally, am looking for neither and don’t desire either one. Why? Because I have watched far too many people fall from grace due to selfish needs, greed, and intoxication that often accompanies power and authority.

I’ve cheered as people I liked have been elevated and promoted. I’ve hugged those I deemed capable of the advancements and smiled as others stepped into positions of authority. But, time after time, my spirit fell as I watched those I believed to be well-intentioned stumble and transform into someone I didn’t know.

Yesterday morning, while in prayer, I realized it’s the few and far between who can handle the fame, the power, the authority, who can wear the crown without allowing it to change the way they think. For, there seems to be something that happens to the mind once the crown is placed upon the head. Thoughts, actions, desires, motivations all begin to change the moment it touches them and begins to transform them into someone they never thought they would be, someone their old selves would be embarrassed of.

Resistance

Over the past several days it’s been on my heart to pray against the spirit of resistance. I’m not only talking about the political resistance we see marching on Washington, although that is part of it, I’m primarily feeling a need to pray against the spiritual resistance that’s been infiltrating our daily lives. God Is Here

There have been several moments in my life where I’ve wondered where God was. I’m not proud of these moments but I won’t lie and say I’m the perfect Christian or that I never doubt the Lord. The past several months have been difficult for me, spiritually and mentally. I work in Washington D.C., where I truly believe the battle is raging more-so than nearly anywhere in the world.

There is a spiritual heaviness residing over the city, something that is nearly palpable. It makes me sad to admit, but my Nation’s Capitol, although physically beautiful, has become dirty with the darkness we have allowed into the country. I say “we” because the church has allowed this to happen. We didn’t stand against evil when it knocked on our door because we feared what the masses would think, now we are dealing with the repercussions of opening the door rather than locking it and telling the enemy to leave.

Pride

This post is unlike any of my others so far. This is not a spiritual writing or a love letter poured out to God. There is nothing eloquent or beautiful about what I have to say. This will not be a politically correct, “people friendly” post, so if you agree with the worlds views I would suggest you stop reading now because you’ll most likely be offended by what I’m about to write.

Salt And Light

Allow me to step up on a soap box for a moment.

I have been increasingly frustrated with what I’m seeing in our society, primarily in our churches. We stand for nothing, so we fall for anything. We don’t call out sin therefore those who are sinning have no idea that their lifestyle is a lie. We have stopped standing for innocence, innocence of life, innocence of adolescence, innocence in general. We allow our voices to be drowned out by the masses due to intimidation and fear.

We, as Christians, are not allowed to simply act and live as everyone else, we know better. We, as Christians, are not permitted to stay silent as the darkness creeps in. This is a battle, why are so few Christians fighting? Continue reading “Salt And Light”
