Your Weapons Of Warfare

It’s been weeks since I’ve felt a desire to write, anything. For someone like me, who is constantly writing in many different forms, that’s saying a lot. But, this morning while praying for a friends grandmother, the Lord placed something heavily on my heart that I want to share.

Many Christians are unable to fight the battles the devil forces them into because they are unaware of the weapons they possess to defeat the attacks of the enemy. The Word is full of wonderful and beautiful stories, but it is also bursting with tactics on how to destroy the adversary.

Regardless of what you are up against, you possess, right now, the ability to win the fight. The Lord gave us promises to stand upon in every situation of our lives, but unfortunately so many Christians are unaware of those promises, resulting in heartbreak, loss and great difficulty.

What do I mean?

When the devil tries to come against my body, in ways great and small, I have been given armor to place over myself to reject any punches he throws. How?

“By His stripes [I am] healed” (Isaiah 53:5)

“With long [healthy] life will I satisfy you” (Psalms 91:16)

“No weapon formed against [me] shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17

When the enemy attempts to come against my mind, tormenting my thoughts with his, I have a helmet I place upon my head:

“Let this mind be in [me], which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5)

“Greater is He that is in [me], than he that is in the world” (1 John:4:4)

“The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard [my heart] and [my mind] in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

When the devil comes for my future, to take away all I have worked for, I lift a shield in front of me and continue to advance:

“He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6)

“And all things, whatsoever [I] ask in prayer, believing, [I] will receive” (Matthew 21:22)

“Faithful is he that calls [me], who also will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

“It was impossible for God to lie” (Hebrews 6:18)

The words in the bible are not only our history, they are our modern day promises, meant to be taken literally as deference and offense mechanisms against the enemy. I worry so many Christians are completely unaware of the weapons of warfare God has given to them to not only fight back, but advance and conquer.

You have within your grasp everything you will ever need to be prosperous in life. God has not left us empty handed, He has given us “power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

The world was spoken into existence, so great power is in our words.

When you speak the promises given to us in the Word, life, prosperity, health, joy, peace, love, goodness, mercy, etc, you will start to see a change in your circumstances, but the only way to make that happen is to KNOW the promises.

Read the Word, learn all the things the Lord has promised you. God didn’t create you to be a victim, He created you to be champion. When you begin to speak the Word over yourself, to fight back and take ground, use the weapons of warfare the Lord has given to you, I guarantee you will start to see great victories.

You were not made to suffer, you were made to conquer.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
-Philippians 4:13
