Lord, your people need you, now more than ever before. They are hungry for your Word, their stomachs growl with the desire to digest your truth. Your people are thirsty for your Spirit, their bodies long for the refreshing rain of your presence.
God, if you don’t fall on them, on me, then we will drop by the wayside, become small in a world where we have no choice but to become big if we are to survive.
God, descend upon your people, rain down on us like we have never seen. You have done it before. You did it on the mountaintop with Moses, in the desert with the Israelites, in the lion’s den with Daniel, in the throne room with Esther, in the upper room with the 120. You have shown yourself to your people time and time again when they became desperate. Well, Lord, you have an abundance of people who are desperate, it is time to fall.
Your people are waiting, crying out to you like the Israelites when suppressed by a wicked ruler. Your Remnant feel the suppression, the restraints put on us by the enemy in order to keep us silent, weak and unimpactful. Only you can release us from our bonds, Hear our cries and answer them with your call to righteousness.
Fall, God, sweep into this place like never before. Rain down, Lord, fill the dry places with your water and overflow the peaks with your presence. Don’t leave any pleading heart untouched or any longing soul unchanged. Your people, your Remnant, are crying out to you to save them. No, we are not enslaved by a Pharaoh or a king, but all around us are lies and deception that have been turned into truth and viewed as virtuous. Godly goodness is now considered hateful and moral uprightness has become unjust.
Your world has turned from you, Lord, that much I know, but not everyone in the world has agreed to the turning,
There are those of us, though few and far between, that refuse to turn, to bend, to bow, those who stand on the stability of your Word and walk away from the unstable lies of the world. On those people, on my brothers and sisters, rain down like manna from Heaven and roar across your land like a lion taking back His Kingdom, His pride.
Your people are waiting, desperate to see you, feel you, touch you, be healed by you and empowered though you. You have an army waiting for the command. Be our Commander, be our Captain and our King.
Your army is ready, drop down upon us and send us to take back what belongs to you.
I believe the Kingdom of God is arising.
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” – Matthew 11:12
